I have worked in the human services field for over 20 years with a variety of clientele in diverse environments. I have gained decades of experience working with a variety of clients. I have worked as a Residential Counselor in a group home setting for developmentally disabled clients, a Certified Group Fitness Instructor, a Residential Counselor for troubled teenagers in group homes, an Addiction Counselor at the Hartford Dispensary Methadone Clinic, a Juvenile Detention Officer for the State of Connecticut and I am currently employed as a Licensed Addiction Drug Counselor for the Department of Correction in a all male prison facility. In May of 2015 I graduated from UCONN School of Social Work with a Masters degree. I have also obtained my license as a LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker).
Although, I have a great deal of experience in the human services field which has given me great insight into the variety of challenges one can encounter in life. Most of my learning has been through life experience. I know what it's like to be confined in a mental prison for many years which led to hopelessnes and despair. However, when I surrendered my life to God a little over 20 years ago He set me free from bondage and pain. I was Ordained as a Pastor and pastored for 3 years, however; God saw fit for me to reach the lost outside the four walls of the church.
